This is the 5th Atlantic Masters annual swim. It is a 2.7km looped swim. It is located near the picturesque village of Kinvara in Co. Galway. Swimmers will swim from Lynches Pier to Traught beach and back. There will be kayakers and boats in the water to guide swimmers. This is not a chipped swim and times will be recorded manually at the finish. The swim is open to skins and wetsuit swimmers. This year there are age categories as follows; under 30s, 31 to 49 and over 50s. So plenty opportunity to get on that podium!
This year there will be a 400m tri a swim event. This will start IMMIDIATELY AFTER the swimmers for the 2.7km have started. This is open to both adults and children. Please note that any children entering MUST be signed in by an adult and MUST be a competent swimmer for this distance. They may be accommpanied in the water by an adult.
Registration: 3.30pm to 5pm

male/female skins: 1st, 2nd and 3rd (in each age category) male/female wetsuit: 1st, 2nd and 3rd (in each category) and 1st overall winner.
Directions: Follow theN67 through Kinvara towards Ballyvaughan. Once you’ve gone through the village, take the second right past the EMO fuel station (You will see signs for Doorus church, Doorus school and Traugth beach here). Follow this road until you come to Nogra. Take the Left turn. You will see a thatched cottage at this turn and The Travellers Inn beyond it. Continue on until you come to a fork in the road. Take the right turn. Follow this road until you come to a very bad bend. Please slow down! You will be cautiously continuing straight at this bend to the pier! There will be a marshal to direct you at this point!
