Atlantic Masters Swimming Club will be running a swim event at Renville Pier, Oranmore called the “Atlantic Lifeboat Swim” and all proceeds will be in aid of the RNLI Lifeboat Station in Galway and the local Rescue Services.
This 2km swim promises to be a major event with some of the most prolific Irish Open Water swimmers already registered to participate.
All proceeds from the event will go towards local Search and Rescue Services, including Galway Lifeboat, Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit amongst others.
There will also be a novelty 250m pier to pier swim, food stalls, face painting and refreshments for promises to be a family fun day. Rescue services, including the Shannon based Sikorsky helicopter will display their capabilities.
