Last Sunday morning Atlantic Masters S.C. held a raffle for their 10th and final turkey swim at Blackrock, Salthill, Co. Galway. The purpose of the swim is to encourage members to brave the cold and continue swimming throughout the winter. Mark Dwyer who organises the swim said “we hit record numbers with over 70 participants”. Over the last ten weeks members and non-members paid €2 every Sunday at 10 a.m. for a raffle ticket to dip or swim in the hope of winning one of the 12 turkey vouchers, along with over 50 spot prizes on offer.
